Since technology is changing fast so as our needs. Similarly our storage need are touching heights with advent of WEB 2.0 applications. You can vanish your storage problem now by adding a new HARD DRIVE to your PC. Today I will show you a tutorial how to add a new HDD to your PC.

• IDE is finish, its time of SATA. So you can ask your vendor to give SATA HDD of latest version( SATA 2 these days with 3 Gbits per second) .

• Make sure you do both connections both SATA and power connection.

• Now log on to your PC make sure you have given high priority to your older HDD in BIOS setting.
• You will see that your new HDD is not detected.
• GO to Control Panel-->Administrative Tools(In classic view)-->Computer Management-->Disc Management
• Now see in figure where disc 0 or 1 has been written, the status will be unallocated, thats your new Hard Disc.
• Right click on it and choose New Program, go through settings and finish.
• Now you can see extra drives in your window.
